The Kaduna State Government said it will commence refund to those who bought houses at Queen Amina College in Kaduna, Alhuda-huda College in Zaria, and Government Commercial College Zaria.
It will be recalled that Governor Uba Sani had recently revoked all previous sales of institutional houses in those legacy schools for overriding public interest.
The Kaduna State government had pledged that steps would be taken to refund amounts paid in respect of the sold houses as directed by Governor Sani.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr AbdulKadir Mu’azu Meyere, he told beneficiaries that their cheques will be ready for collection at the Secretariat of the Sale of Non-Essential Government Houses at Hassan Usman Katsina House, Kawo, Kaduna, next week Monday upon presenting the necessary documents.
“Kaduna State Government wishes to reiterate its commitment to make the atmosphere within and around schools conducive for learning, in its efforts to boost Human Capital Development,” the statement reiterated.
