Ribadu Condoles El-Rufai Family Over Matriarch’s Death

Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, mother of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

In a condolence message, Ribadu described the late matriarch as a warm and caring figure whose memory would remain with those who had the privilege of knowing her.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the matriarch of the El-Rufai family,” he said.

He recalled fond memories of shared moments with the deceased, noting her motherly care and kindness. According to him, the loss is a painful one, not only for the immediate family but also for all who were touched by her life.

“At a time like this, words can offer little comfort for such a profound loss. My heartfelt condolences to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and the entire family,” Ribadu added.

He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings, grants her eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus, and gives the family the strength to bear the loss.
