Ricoh Recommits To Redefining Workplace Technology

This is even as the company has unveiled its latest line of smart meeting devices, aimed at reshaping how organisations collaborate, communicate, and operate. IQ Distributions limited, the authorised distributor of Ricoh products in Africa, hosted a grand event to launch the cutting-edge Ricoh Smart Meeting Device series, on Wednesday, in Lagos.

In his opening address, the managing director of IQ Distributions Limited, Richard Amaechi Ani, expressed his excitement about the milestone achievement, while emphasising the company’s commitment to driving innovation and fostering growth in the region.

“We are thrilled to unveil the Ricoh Smart Meeting Device, a solution that is set to transform the way businesses work, collaborate, and communicate.

As the world becomes increasingly digital, these tools will help organisations achieve seamless and efficient operations,” Ani said.

Ani emphasised IQ Distributions’ collaboration with DocuWare, another Ricoh company, to provide document management and workflow automation solutions. Together with its sister company, Digitise Africa, IQ Distributions offers comprehensive digitisation services tailored to meet the evolving needs of businesses, Ani averred, adding that, “The Ricoh Smart Meeting Device series is now available through IQ Distributions’ extensive network in Nigeria and West Africa. The tools are expected to reshape the business landscape, promoting efficiency, productivity, and inclusivity in workplaces across the region.”

Speaking on the new products, the regional sales director, Ricoh PFU Middle East & Africa, Adrian Cafferkey, introduced three core categories of the Ricoh Smart Meeting Devices which are portable monitors, designed for direct and engaging collaboration; laser projectors that are equipped with high-brightness laser light sources for versatile and impactful visuals and Meeting 360 Hub, which features a 360-degree video conferencing camera that automatically shifts to the speaker, offering a lifelike and inclusive meeting experience.

Cafferkey highlighted the advanced features of the Ricoh 360 Meeting Hub, which include panoramic views, dual fisheye lenses, autofocus zoom, and a six-meter voice pickup radius, enhancing productivity and collaboration in virtual meetings. “Additionally, the Wireless 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector, with its powerful 6,500-lumen brightness and ultra-low throw ratio, captured the audience’s attention with its ability to deliver captivating displays of up to 160 inches from a mere 38 cm away,” he revealed.
