Among well-known cryptocurrency advocates, investors and traders in Africa, only very few can match the experience, knowledge and expertise of Thembi Portia Shilenge.

Her expertise with digital finance comes from a wealth of experience acquired intensely over a four-year-period of working for fintech and cryptocurrency companies. It was, therefore, by dint of hard work that Thembi Shilenge (as she is commonly known) worked her way from obscurity to popularity to become a leading figure in the South African cryptocurrency community.

An indefatigable personality, she is presently the President of Novus, an automated forex trading and cryptocurrency trading investment platform while also working at Binance since 2016.

Thembi Shilenge was born in rural Mmakaunyane in the North West Province of South Africa. Her primary and high school education took place in her village. In 2010, she graduated from Mabopane Secondary School and proceeded to Tshwane University of Technology, where she studied Chemical Engineering and graduated with a degree in B.Tech in 2014.

Her early work experience required her science background in such companies as SABMiller, Department of Public Works, Kroondal Platinum Mine, Amalunga Minerals and Anglo Platinum.

In these workplaces, she worked variously as chemical engineer, chemical separator, water process controller, and plant operator, among other roles.

Thembi Shilenge, however, engineered a career change that saw her treading the path of business and specifically in the emerging cryptocurrency sector. She has in the past four years worked exclusively and intensively with crypto trading companies around the world such as BitClub Network, Questra World and Platinum Agency, Nexus Global Limited and Binance among others.

Her reputation as an expert in trading and investing in crypto currency has been established and it is evident that she will continue to be a force in the future.
