Rivers Angels claimed the 2025 President Federation Cup title edging Nasarawa Amazons 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
It was the tenth time Tosan Blackson’s side will be winning the trophy.
Nasarawa Amazons led 2-0 at the break courtesy of two goals scored by Olusola Shobowale.
Shobowale netted the curtain raiser after seven minutes.
The forward doubled the advantage for the Lafia club 10 minutes later.
Rivers Angels fought back after the break scoring twice within five minutes.
Taiwo Ajibade reduced the deficit three minutes before the hour mark.
Parity was restored in the 62nd minute with Taiwo Ajibade latching home from outside the box.
The Port Harcourt club prevailed in the shootout scoring four times, while Nasarawa Amazons converted twice.
