Riyadh Saudi Pro League giant Al-Nassr continued their impressive start to the season with a resounding 5-1 victory over Al-Riyadh Saturday evening.
Cristiano Ronaldo once again stole the spotlight, scoring twice to take his season tally to three league goals.
The Portuguese icon opened his account just before halftime and struck again in the second half to seal a dominant display.
Summer signing João Félix was also in sensational form, scoring the opener and providing key assists, while Kingsley Coman added his name to the scoresheet.
Al-Riyadh managed a consolation goal through Mamadou Sylla, but it proved little more than a brief interruption to Al-Nassr’s rhythm.
With the win, Al-Nassr maintained their 100 per cent record this season, collecting three victories from three matches and underlining their status as firm title contenders.
Head Coach Luís Castro commended his side’s focus after the match, saying the performance “shows the team’s hunger and balance in all departments.”
The result sends a clear warning to rivals that Al-Nassr, powered by Ronaldo’s goals and a new-look attacking lineup, remain one of the strongest forces in Saudi and Asian football.
