Rosy Meurer Denies Friendship With Tonto Dikeh Before Marrying Churchill

Gambia-born Nollywood actress Rosy has dismissed claims that she met her husband, Olakunle Churchill, through his ex-wife, actress Tonto Dikeh, insisting that the rumours linking her to Dikeh were false.

In a series of Instagram videos posted in the early hours of Wednesday, Meurer addressed circulating reports suggesting that she was once close to Dikeh and that she had recently unfollowed Churchill on social media.

“I was never my husband’s ex’s friend, not to talk her best friend. I have never met her, I have never seen her, she doesn’t have my number, I don’t have her number, and she’s like 8 to 9, 10 years older than I am,” Meurer said. She challenged anyone claiming otherwise to provide evidence, saying: “If anyone has proof, I dare you to bring it out. I don’t even know her, I’ve never met her.”

Meurer also clarified the reports that she had unfollowed her husband on Instagram, providing video evidence showing that she is still following Churchill and highlighting the duration of their digital connection. “So how am I unfollowing my husband? I have no reason to unfollow my husband. I did not unfollow my husband. I don’t know what technical issue… because it’s so convenient like that, today of all days it just happened that I unfollowed my husband,” she explained.

The actress’ clarification comes a couple of weeks after Tonto Dikeh and Churchill reportedly ended their decade-long feud, marked by a public reunion with their son, King Andre.

Churchill married Meurer in 2019, and the couple welcomed their first child together in 2021, which is also Churchill’s second son.
