Rotary Action Group Seeks Collaboration On Peace

In commemoration of the World Peace Day in Niger State, Rotary Action Group has flagged off the grassroots peace and security assessment in the state.

The coordinator of the group, Rotarian, Fauziya Abubakar Kure, said the importance of peace cannot be emphasized, hence the need for collaborative efforts to entrench it in the state.

She said Rotarians in Niger State must be committed to ensuring peace despite the current realities and challenges.

The coordinator disclosed that the National Community Violence Reduction Programme had keyed into efforts to enhance peace building, security and community engagement.

Kure disclosed that Rotarians in the state recognised the importance of collaborative efforts in peace building and therefore called for partnership from well-meaning individuals and bodies.

She explained that in accordance with the National Community Violence Reduction Programme various initiatives had been set up as part of 2025 activities to promote peace in different sectors of the society.
