Rotary Club of Abuja district 9125 Gudu,has donated a block classrooms, teachers office and various relief materials to LEA Primary school,in Angwan Fulani,Gudu,Abuja.
Commissioning the projects the District governor,Dr Goddy Nnadi,who was represented by the District secretary,Dr Mohammed Dan-Hassan said,”the projects we are commissioning have wide ranging impact.These include a block of classrooms and teachers office,we are also giving textbooks,a grinding machine to one of the women in the community to help her vocation.
“We have also bought equipment for two young boys who have been undergoing training as mechanics,as a means of empowering them to begin their vocation as mechanics.”
He noted that members of Rotary have used their time,talents and resources to contribute immensely to their local communities in order to make the communities better.
President Rotary club of Gudu,Rotarian Alvan, explained that the projects were informed by the need to make teaching and learning conducive for teachers and students of the school.
According to him, the club decided to take up the challenge of providing the facilities, since it was becoming increasingly obvious that the existing ones could no longer enhance teaching and learning in the school, as they were in deplorable conditions.
Expressing his appreciation to the club, the Head Teacher, Abdulahi Saidu Samu,thanked Rotary club for the gesture, and expressed the optimism that the facilities would go a long way in making learning and teaching conducive in the school.
“I feel very happy and short of words to express my gratitude for their contribution to teaching and development of learning in the school.May the Lord bless them and give them the zeal to continue to help people.”
