The new president of Rotary Club Maiduguri,  RTN William Jaja, has said the club would partner with the Borno State government and humanitarian partners in addressing the challenges of out-of-school children resulting from the decade-long Boko Haram insurgency in the state.

Jaja who unveiled his administration’s blueprint for 2024- 2025 yesterday after his installation added that the club would also partner the state government in the areas of poverty alleviation, environmental hygiene, access to clean water, maternal and child healthcare among others as humanitarians.

He noted that empowering the next generation with education would help them break the cycle of poverty, promising to provide educational opportunities for children, particularly those affected by the insurgency in the state.
