RTEAN Elects New Officials

Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has elected new officials to pilot its affairs for the next five years. The election which took place at the Army Resource Centre Mambilla Barracks Abuja, had in attendance delegates from all the states of the federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Alhaji Musa Muhammed Maitakobi was returned unopposed as the executive national president of the association, with other officials representing all the states of the federation.

In his acceptance speech, Maitokobi, thanked all the members for electing him as the president, saying the election gives him confidence that his administration has been accepted by the teeming members. He also gave assurances of doing his best in taking the association to greater heights and called on members to always remember that discipline is the backbone of any society.

He said, “I am using this opportunity to congratulate the incoming president of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the vice president-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima and draw their attention to give priority to the transportation sector as it creates employment and directs the economy.”
