Accord Party has declared Hon Bamidele Salam as its candidate for Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election.
The serving member, House of Representatives was declared the party’s candidate for his constituency again by the national publicity secretary of the party, Joseph Omorogbe, who was the leader of the primary election delegation from the national secretariat following his affirmation by thousands of party members drawn from the constituency in Ede on Friday.
Omorogbe while declaring Salam as the party flag bearer praised the peaceful conduct of the election and charged party members to work assiduously for reelection having performed excellently well as their representative at the national assembly.
The affirmation though peacefully conducted had security presence while the exercise was observed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and national delegates from Abuja
Speaking shortly after his affirmation, Hon. Bamidele Salam said he was humbled by the great support from the people of Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency.
He expressed his appreciation to Governor Ademola Adeleke whose constituency Salam is currently representing at the national assembly.
His words” I thank the governor of the state, His Excellency, Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke for having confidence in me. I represent his federal constituency and whatever happens here, he takes more interest in it. I want to thank him for the support and encouragement and every other person that has been supporting me these past years to be able to deliver on this mandate
“I want to promise that I won’t let them down. I regard this opportunity as a further challenge to do more. I regard it as a call for greater sacrifices and a measure of service to this federal Constituency. With the help of God, I am sure we will be able to deliver. Salaam said.
