She said, “I am here to represent the founder who sent us to come and celebrate with the over 500 children of this community, gift them with school bags, writing materials, foods and other items. In short, our founder is the reason we are having this gathering on a Sallah day.

“We realized that the government cannot do it alone, hence our intervention through this foundation across the country.”

Responding on behalf of Alhaji Suleiman Katsina, Emir of People with Disability in the community, the secretary, Alhaji Muhammad Dantami thanked the foundation for the gesture, saying in the last 20 years, no foundation has ever done this for them.

Dantami, who described Tejuosho as their ‘mandate’ joined others in calling on President Bola Tinubu to consider Tejuosho for the Humanitarian Minister position for better delivery.

He appealed to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to continue to empower the PWDs so that they can also empower their community via skills acquisition.

He said, “As you can see, everybody is out here and happy with what Alhaja Halimat Asenike Tejuosho Foundation has done for us and our children most especially.

“This humanitarian activity is rare as virtually all the states of the federation have had a taste of her Foundation gesture.”
