Nigerian music promoter and socialite Sam Larry has been hospitalised following a severe automobile accident along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos.
The incident occurred during the early hours of Saturday when his vehicle reportedly rammed into a heavy-duty trailer. The collision resulted in the immediate death of his security aide, who died at the scene of the crash.
Images and videos circulating online showed extensive damage to the vehicle. Sam Larry was retrieved from the wreckage and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
Colleagues and associates within the entertainment industry, including comedian Mario Wazobia, have confirmed the incident publicly while calling for thoughts and prayers for the promoter’s recovery.
