In a strategic move to enhance security in the Tsanyawa/Ghari Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr) Engr. Sani Bala, the local member of parliament and chairman of the House Committee on Public Service, has distributed motorcycles to frontline security forces and provided financial support for fuel.
According to him, the event, held on Monday, represents a significant effort by the him to tackle rising security threats and restore public confidence in safety within the constituency and adjacent border areas.
The motorbikes, officially handed over during a well-attended ceremony, are set to improve mobility and patrol efficiency, ensuring swift responses in hard-to-reach locations. Additionally, Hon. Bala provided funds for immediate fuelling and deployment of the vehicles.
During the event, Hon. Bala emphasised that the initiative is a timely response to urgent security challenges. He highlighted the rise in criminal activity, particularly in rural and border areas, necessitating sustained support for security personnel.
“This initiative strengthens our security agencies’ operational capacity. It’s not just symbolic; it’s a strategic response to the needs of those protecting our communities daily,” he stated.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including the state commissioner of police and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps commandant, reflecting strong institutional support for the initiative.
Community leaders, including traditional rulers and religious figures, praised the intervention and recognised Hon. Bala’s responsiveness to local security challenges.
Security operatives expressed gratitude for the motorcycles and fuel support, noting that the added resources would significantly enhance their operations, especially in rural and high-risk areas.
