Senator representing Niger East senatorial district, Mohammad Sani Musa, has redeemed his pledge of paying N14.6million registration fees for 100 level students of Paikoro local government who gained admission into Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), University, Lapai to read different courses of their choice.
At the presentation of payment receipts to the 170 students held at Paiko Town Hall yesterday, the chairman of Paikoro local government area of Niger State, Alhaji Aminu Umar Yandayi commended the senator for the gesture.
Yandayi said the huge investments of the senator on education would leave a legacy for posterity to notice.
The chairman pointed out that the relentless efforts of the senator in paying the registration fees of the young ones will ease the burden on their parents for the success of their education pursuit.
He therefore called on the students to pay serious attention to their studies so that they could do to others what the senator has done for them in the future and expressed gratitude to Paigokni Development Association (PDA) for its relentless efforts in achieving the set goals for the younger generation.
Earlier, the secretary of Paigokni Development Association (PDA) Mohammed Madaki said PDA is privileged to have men and women who are willing to give back to society. He commended the senator for the gesture and asked other elected and political office holders of the local government to emulate him.
LEADERSHIP Friday reports that Senator Sani Musa pledged to pay the registration fees of 100 level students of IBBU, Lapai during the PDA Economic and Security Summit held at Paiko in January this year.
