SATH Soccer Tournament Earns Industry Praise for Business Engagement Through Sport

The SATH Soccer Tournament returned for its second edition today, reinforcing its place as one of Nigerias emerging industry-wide platforms focused on wellness, workplace culture, and cross-sector engagement.

Organized by Signal Alliance Technology Holding (SATH), the tournament brought together professionals from a diverse range of organizations for a day of competitive football in a format designed to encourage connection beyond the office.

This years tournament, held at Pistis Turf Football Field, Lekki, featured teams from:

UBA Africa, Samsung Nigeria, KPMG, PwC, TD Africa, Arravo, SeamlessHR, Vesicash, Curacel, Pal Pensions, Manifold Computers, SA Consulting, CloudSA Africa, Medismarts Limited, Codeware, Dochase, and 3rd Retail Africa.

From its opening procession, the energy across the venue remained high, with teams participating in a 5-a-side knockout format that emphasizes teamwork, agility, speed, and collaboration.

The event kicked off with a coordinated opening team procession, aerobics, and a spirited performance by the SATH Cheerleading Team, setting the tone for a full day of competition and camaraderie.

“The SATH Soccer Tournament is built on the belief that people-first experiences are essential to workplace culture.” Said Abayomi Adebanjo, Chief Human Resources Officer at SATH.

According to Fridel Makun, Head of Marketing, TD Africa. Initiatives like the SATH Soccer Tournament demonstrate how sport can reinforce a culture of inclusion, wellness, and connection within and across companies.

 

Its refreshing to engage with peers outside of a formal setting. Also at the tournament was Flour Mills of Nigeria, engaging attendees with product sampling and serving refreshments to players and guests.

 

Their activation aligns with the tournaments focus on wellness and contributes to the vibrant atmosphere being built across the venue.

The tournament will conclude with a trophy presentation for Best Team, Best Goalkeeper, Highest Goal Scorer, and Most Valuable Player, celebrating performance, collaboration, and team spirit on the field.

 

With participation expanding and engagement deepening, the SATH Soccer Tournament is earning a fast reputation as a cross-industry platform where sports, people engagement, and strategic business goals intersect.
