Pampers Private School yesterday said its adoption and implementation of international standards of assessment is a strategic step in its efforts to drive excellence in education.
The deputy director of studies at the school, Kingsley Okorodudu, said the decision of the faculty to implement international standards of assessment is a testament to the school’s commitment to educational excellence.
Speaking ahead of the 2024 Cambridge Checkpoint Examination for Grade 6 students scheduled for April 23rd to 25th, he said that going through such a rigorous benchmark; ensures students receive world-class education that prepares them for success on a global stage.
According to him, the Cambridge Checkpoint Examinations provide an invaluable external benchmark that allows the school to gauge its students’ performance against international standards.
Okorodudu said the commitment to integrating the British curriculum ensures a seamless blend of Nigerian and international education, equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in a globalised world.
He said that the school has been consistent in achieving outstanding results in previous Cambridge Checkpoint examinations, which solidifies the school’s position as a leading provider of exceptional education in Nigeria.
On the steps the school is taking ahead of the examination, he said both teachers and students have been working hard to prepare for the coming assessment to surpass the outstanding records that have been set by the students before them.
“In 2023, our students achieved exceptional results, scoring a perfect band score of 6.0 (the maximum score obtainable) in both Mathematics and English and an impressive 5.6 in Science as the collective centre average,” he said.
