A group, the Nigeria Patriotic Youth for Good Governance (NPYGG), has said that there is a gradual stabilization of Peace and Security in Nigeria as a result of the purposeful leadership of the chief of defence staff  (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa.

Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, the group who condoled with the CDS over the unfortunate and unwarranted killings of military personnel involved in peace mission in Okuama Community in Delta State, said the action of the perpetrators was not only callous, inhumane, barbaric but also unpatriotic.

They however expressed consolation that President Bola Tinubu gave a marching order that the chief of defence staff must find the culprits and bring them to justice swiftly, while commending the CDS for the efforts so far in ensuring that all those directly and remotely involved in that unfortunate incident are apprehended and brought to book.

The text of the briefing signed by the group’s national coordinator, Barr. Abdulmalik Alfa expressed joy  that some arrests have been made in connection with that incident and prayed that God almighty will console and comfort the families of the slain military personnel, the chief of army staff and the chief of defence staff.

He said, “there is no doubt that dire situations like this is capable of dampening the spirits and determination of our service men but alas, what we are witnessing after the unfortunate incidence is nothing short of reaffirmation of unwavering commitments and staunch desire of our military men to safeguard, rescue and secure Nigeria internally and territorially.

“We want to also use this medium to point out that the military under the able, ebullient and dynamic leadership of Gen. Musa is ever ready to confront criminals and criminal enterprises posing threat to national security in Nigeria.

“His leadership quality is yielding monumental positive results and our optimism for restoration of security to Nigeria is becoming increasingly brighter day by day”.

The group also stated that “In the North West, a lot of armed bandits have been neutralized and also in the North East, terrorists are surrendering because of the commitment of the military to crush and exterminate them. In the south, criminals sabotaging the economy of the nation are no longer finding it easy to do so as crude oil bunkering is now difficult to carry out due to the enormity of surveillance measures put in place by the chief of defence staff.”
