Men of “Operation Delta Sweep”, in partnership with the Youth Wing of the Abraka Community, Delta State, have recovered a stash of illegal drugs from a notorious drug dealer, Mr. Benson Izah, hidden on his motorcycle.

The alleged suspect was nabbed following a coordinated operation led by the security men

The suspect, widely known in the area for allegedly corrupting the youths through the distribution of narcotics, was apprehended at the Youth Secretariat.

A swift investigation led security operatives to four separate warehouses allegedly linked to Mr. Izah. Upon searching the premises, large quantities of assorted illicit drugs were discovered and seized, confirming long-standing community suspicions about his deep involvement in the drug trade.

The recovered narcotics are being prepared for handover to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for comprehensive investigation and prosecution

Sources within the operation revealed that the breakthrough was made possible through intelligence gathered by the youth leadership of Abraka, who had reportedly flagged Izah’s activities for months before the operation was sanctioned and executed with military precision.

An official of Operation Delta Sweep, who requested anonymity, confirmed that “both the suspect and the recovered narcotics are being prepared for handover to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for comprehensive investigation and prosecution”

Residents described the arrest as a major victory in the fight against substance abuse in the town. “Benson has been the face of drug destruction in our community. We are happy to see that justice is finally catching up with him,” said a jubilant youth leader who joined others in celebrating the arrest,” he stated.
