SEDC Will Deepen National Unity – Imo City Boy Coordinator

The coordinator of City Boy Movement in Imo State, Prince Francis Uzor, has expressed hopes that the South East Development Commission (SEDC) will foster unity and development in the zone.

This is even as he commended Seyi Tinubu for fostering national and economic growth with Igbo business owners.

Uzor made the disclosure while speaking to the media in Owerri on Thursday, after Seyi Tinubu hosted Igbo businessmen led by Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly called Obi Cubana.

He commended the SEDC managing director, Mark Okoye, for the agency’s effort to spearhead the economic turnaround of the region and ensure the region is fully reconnected to the national political grid.

Uzor said the commission will accelerate public and private businesses and attract investments for the southeast zone.

According to him, the SEDC efforts will foster development, attract investments and restore confidence among the people of the South East in the nation’s collective progress.

Uzor said the meeting between Seyi Tinubu and the Igbo businessmen led by Obi Cubana was commendable and will promote inclusive economic growth.

 

Further, he said the meeting had helped to calm  the political scene in the southeast saying it was a laudable effort.

 

Uzor commended Tinubu’s continuous efforts to engage stakeholders from the South East, and expressed optimism that such initiatives will lead to the restoration of peace and security in the region, the revitalization of a functional seaport, and the formulation of favorable policies that will stimulate the region’s economic development.

 

According to him, the meeting was in the right direction and will help deepen national unity and promote inclusive economic growth.
