Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has received a popular Kannywood singer, Ali Isa Jita, from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ali Jita announced his defection to the APC when he paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy President of the Senate at his residence in Abuja, yesterday, a statement by his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, said.

Receiving the singer, the Deputy President of the Senate, described his joining of the APC as a welcome development.

“As a young and talented artist, Ali Jita will bring his experience and expertise to the party, which will pave the way for the development of the music and the entire Kennywood industry.”

I welcome you to the largest party. You are welcome on board,” he said.
