According to the senator, citizens of Bauchi state are not enjoying the palliatives meant for them by the federal government due to the high-handedness of some state government officials.

The Senator, while fielding press questions in Bauchi shortly after the APC state critical stakeholders meeting, explained that the state governor diverted the federal government’s assistance to the people, especially in the hardships they were suffering.

“Some of the palliatives the federal government sent to Bauchi state following the hardships being encountered by the people are being diverted by the state governor for self-aggrandisement, who takes such commodities to the markets and personally pocket the proceeds”.

For this reason, the senator said, the federal government should advise by channelling such palliatives for state citizens who are often deprived of such privileges through their two ministers, representing the highest federal-level decision-making body.
