Senator representing Anambra North senatorial district of Anambra State, Dr Tony Nwoye has built and donated 2-bedroom bungalow each to six indigent families in Anambra State.
He also built and donated over 143 lock-up shops in markets located in Onitsha and Ogbaru local government areas to empower residents and boost commercial activities.
The gesture is contained in his achievements in one year of serving as a member of the 10th National Assembly.
He also organised training for hundreds of youths in various vocations , including poultry, piggery, fashion designing, sowing, and ICT, and provided them with start-up facilities, including funds and equipment.
Senator Nwoye in addition to sponsoring motions on issues bordering people of his Anambra North senatorial district has constructed multi-purpose modern youth centre with hostel in Fegge, Onitsha -South LGA; 23 lock-up shops with solar-powered boreholes, provided overhead tanks, toilet, slaughter market at Onitsha -North LGA, as well as another 20 lock-up shops and computer training building in Ogbaru LGA.
Within the period, the senator further funded construction of community market in Umali Akanator Omo junction in Ayamelum LGA; 100 lock-up shops in Anambra -East LGA; fresh fruit market stalls in Okpoko in Ogbaru LGA; 20 boats for fishing, marine ambulance for emergency in case of boat-mishap; training for 80 youths in e-marketing, distributed telephone handsets, laptops, computer sets, refrigerators, 100 power generating sets.
He further attracted construction of hundreds of kilometre of roads, including Ifite-Umueri Awkuzu road, Umuanaevili road, Aguleri in Anambra East LGA; empowered about 13,000 persons by distributing to them various facilities that would strengthen them to be self-reliant in their various vocations.
