Senator Builds Magnificent Mosque In Bauchi

The Muslim community has commended the Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Buba Umar, for constructing a magnificent Juma’at Mosque and Islamiyyah School in Nabordo community, the headquarters of Jema’a Emirate in Toro local government area of Bauchi State.

The project comprises a Juma’at Mosque, a female prayer mosque, an Islamiyyah School, and toilet facilities within the mosque premises.

Speaking shortly after the commissioning ceremony, which took place after the Friday congregational prayer, Senator Shehu Buba Umar said the project was aimed at promoting Islamic education and strengthening religious values within the community.

He urged worshippers to continue praying for peace, unity, and stability in Bauchi State and the country at large.

The Senator noted that the humanitarian projects he has been executing across his senatorial district and beyond are designed to positively impact the lives of ordinary citizens.

Senator Buba also commended the people of Jema’a Emirate for their peaceful coexistence, attributing it to the just and fair leadership of the Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji Suleiman Bala Suleiman. He said the Emir’s leadership style has continued to foster unity and religious harmony in the emirate and the state.

He further stated that he has listened to the needs and complaints of various communities and assured residents that more development projects would soon commence in line with his campaign promises and developmental agenda.

According to him, the construction of mosques across his constituency and beyond was driven by his desire to contribute to the promotion of Islam and seek reward in the hereafter. He expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to undertake what he described as a charitable act.

Senator Buba also thanked Islamic scholars and other stakeholders for their encouragement and support, which contributed to the successful completion of the project. He urged the benefiting community to take full ownership of the facility by ensuring proper maintenance and supervision.

In his remarks, the Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji Suleiman Bala Suleiman, thanked Senator Shehu Buba Umar for the project and prayed that Allah rewards him abundantly.

Several Islamic scholars who spoke at the event described Senator Buba as a committed Muslim who is mindful of his faith and the hereafter. They urged wealthy individuals to emulate his example by investing in projects that benefit religion and society.

Other speakers at the occasion also praised the Senator’s act of benevolence, noting that he has executed numerous schools, including Islamiyyah schools, roads, healthcare facilities, culverts, as well as healthcare and agricultural interventions across his constituency.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by former government functionaries, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and a large crowd of well-wishers who came from far and near to witness the event.
