More sympathisers have commiserated with Niger State deputy governor Yakubu Garba over the death of his wife, Zainab Garba.
The senator representing Niger South senatorial district, Senator Peter Ndalikali has sympathised with the deputy governor in a statement issued by his media office.
He described the death of Hajiya Zainab Yakubu Garba as a great loss not only to her family and friends but to Niger State at large, given her selfless contributions to the development of the state.
Ndalikali, while describing the deceased as a beacon of hope for women and children in the state, said her loss would be deeply felt by the state.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to repose the soul of the deceased in his bosom and grant her family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Similarly, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) chairman, Comrade Idris Abdulkareem Lafene, paid a condolence visit and commiserated with the deputy governor.
Several groups condoled with the deputy governor, including the commissioners’ forum and permanent secretaries led by head of service Abubakar Salisu.
The head of the service described Hajiya Zainab as a mother and great humanitarian and philanthropist who had touched people’s lives.
