Senator Sankara Condoles Family Of Late Maitama Yusuf

Senator Danladi Sankara has commiserated with the family of Senator Bello Maitama Yusuf, who died on Friday in Kano at the age of 76.

The late Senator Bello Maitama Yusuf hailed from Gwaram in Jigawa State and served as Minister in the government of the late President Shehu Shagari from 1979 to 1983 before serving as Senator for Jigawa Southwest Senatorial District from 1999 to 2007.

In a condolence message issued in Abuja on Saturday, Senator Sankara, who also represented Jigawa Northwest in the 9th Senate, described the death of Senator Bello Yusuf as a great loss to the people of Jigawa State in partcular and the nation in general.

He lamented that his passage came at a time when his wisdom and knowledge were mostly needed by the people.

Senator Sankara said: “I convey my sincere condolences to immediate family, the people and government of Jigawa State over the death of Senator Bello Maitama Yusuf.
