The former governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, has said the entire Zamfara remains his constituency, not only the Zamfara West zone he is representing as he distributes welfare packages.

Senator Yari stated this while answering questions from journalists at his Talata Mafara residence.

He said he provided welfare packages for the entire people of Zamfara instead of his constituency alone because he served as governor of the state for two terms.

He stated that though he was elected as senator for Zamfara West Senatorial Zone, he would not forget the entire people of the state who elected him as governor and will continue to render assistance to them.

“I was elected Governor of Zamfara State for two terms, so I think it is not wise for me to forget the people of the state when it comes to provision of welfare packages”.

Senator Yari further explained that the other reason why he is extending assistance to the entire people of the state is because, as a Muslim, he should not limit his charity to only people of his constituency.

He said he preferred to concentrate his charity across the state not for the sake of politics but for the sake of God.

“I will give Sadaqah (Charity) to everybody irrespective of political inclination because I want the Almighty Allah to be pleased with me,” he added.

Yari who donated 496 trucks of assorted grains during the month of Ramadan, therefore called on other wealthy individuals in the state to assist by extending their assistance to the less privileged in the society.

Senator Yari while extending his Sallah message to the people of the state, also urged them to continue pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of his successful administration and the Country for the attaining of total peace and unity.
