A group known as APC Network for Mobilisation in Kaduna state has called on the leadership of the party to disqualify Senator Abdul Suleiman Kwari as senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general election in Kaduna North district.

Leader of the group, Comrade Balarabe Hassan Lere, said the call for Sen Kwari’s disqualification was premised on their firm belief that the Senator did not win the last primary election conducted in Zaria given the alleged irregularities and malpractices during the exercise.

Lere alleged that Sen Kwari’s supporters prevented a free and fair primary and instead, results were obtained under duress to rig out the second runner up, Hon Ibrahim Haliru.

The group urged the APC leadership to intervene to avert a situation where the party would lose in Kaduna North during the general election.
Lere cautioned the party against using an unpopular candidate to jeopardise the chances of other candidates for the presidential, governorship and House of Representatives in Kaduna North.
The group pledged unflinching support and loyalty to Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai and the APC governorship candidate for 2023, Sen Uba Sani.
