The Society for Family Health (SFH) has enlisted 20 community pharmacies in Bauchi to deepen family planning uptake and expand primary health care service delivery.

The initiative is part of activities lined up for the implementation of Integrate 2.0 funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. SHF leads six other consortiums in the implementation of the project in Bauchi State.

North East regional manager of IntegratE 2.0, Johnson Ekele, disclosed this during inception meeting of the project with relevant stakeholders in Bauchi.

“The project will work with 400 proprietary patent medicines vendors (PPMVs) and 20 community pharmacies (CPs) to integrate family planning uptake and expansion of other primary health care services in Bauchi State,” he said.
