He explained that the 532 newly trained personnel were passing out officers after six months of rigorous training , considering the fact that the FCT command is strategic and the operational base of the NSCDC national headquarters.

Describing the Corps as a regimented organisation with zero tolerance for any act of indiscipline, Odumosu said, “Here, there is no act of unionism, no activism, and no aluta continua. Respect for and regard for seniority is mandatory irrespective of age and size.

He said, let me quickly let you know that your being confirmed as a staff of NSCDC does not mean that you have arrived. You must shun bribery and other forms of corrupt practices. It is on record , that those who engaged themselves in unwholesome practices as a shortcut to making wealth found themselves in taking the shorter and ignominious route out of the Corps.

Stressing the need for those trained in weapon handling to thread with caution, Odumosu, warned against accidental discharge, buttressed that rules of engagement must continuously sound in their minds.

Let me remind you, that your uniform and weapon must not be used to intimidate or harras any citizen . Please, respect the fundamental human rights of all Nigerians.

Work has started and you must justify the confidence of the management who found you worthy to be recruited . The FCT commandant, expressed gratitude to the Corps Commandant general, Dr Ahmed Audi, for making the FCT command to always be at the forefront.

He also thanked both the Minister’s of the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT ) and his counterpart at the Ministry of Interior, for being supportive of the command..
