Skyewise Foundation Marks 2026 IWD With Empowerment Conference

A non-governmental organisation, Skyewise Foundation, has unveiled plans to commemorate the 2026 International Women’s Day (IWD) with a large-scale empowerment conference focused on equipping women with practical skills to unlock economic opportunities.

Run by Skyewise Group, the Foundation will marked the global celebration in Abuja on Friday.

The conference, themed “Give Skills, Gain Influence: Women’s Rights & Economic Leadership,” is designed to inspire, train, and position women for greater economic participation and leadership.

The event will feature notable resource persons including Business and Leadership Coach, Onyinye Esimai; Business Coach, Sheefah Zarma; and CEO of Maubby’s Salad Bar, Maureen Esekhile, alongside other partners and industry experts.

The gathering held at the Skyewise Group Corporate Head Office, in Maitama, Abuja.

Participants will engage in critical sessions such as an Introduction to Cybersecurity Training, an inspiring keynote address, and practical discussions on business development and financial growth insights.

Speaking ahead of the event, Founder of Skyewise Foundation, Dr. Elvis Abuyere, described International Women’s Day as a powerful reminder of the need to move beyond conversations to concrete action.

“International Women’s Day is not just a celebration, but a call to equip women with the right skills and opportunities to thrive in today’s economy. At Skyewise Foundation, we believe that when you give women the right tools, you empower them to gain influence, create wealth, and transform communities,” he said.

The head of Skyewise Foundation and the program lead for the conference, Uchenna S. Akurunwa Esq. assured participants of an impactful conversations while stressing that the 2026 conference reflects the Foundation’s commitment to advancing women’s rights through economic empowerment and sustainable capacity building.
