Nigeria tech brand Vin Global Technologies Limited has released an advanced smart lock gadget into the market to stem security breaches.

In recent years, smart homes and offices have become increasingly popular due to the convenience and security they offer.

CEO of Vin Global Technologies Limited, Mr Onyeka Onwuka while speaking on the new innovation said, “One of the most vital components of a smart home or office is the smart lock. With OVO Smart Locks advanced technology, users are provided with much more than just locking and unlocking doors. They add a whole new level of security to homes and offices, protecting them against insecurities that conventional or traditional locks cannot solve.

“A recent report highlighted the major insecurities found in both offices and homes. It noted that traditional locks are easy to manipulate, and insecure against theft and break-ins. This is one of the reasons why smart locks have been embraced, as they provide end-to-end encryption and smartphone connectivity, making them easy to monitor and secure against digital crime.

“One of the most significant advantages of the OVO smart locks is the ability to control the locking and unlocking of doors remotely. This is particularly useful for offices when there are multiple people accessing the building at different times. The owner can control who has access and also revoke access as necessary.

“Moreover, OVO smart locks offer an impressive array of features that go beyond traditional locks. For example, fingerprints, biometric scans, and voice recognition can be used to secure homes and offices. These technologies provide additional layers of security, making it difficult for intruders to gain access. Indeed, smart locks use sophisticated algorithms and encryption to ensure that only authorized individuals can enter. Additionally, Vin Global Technologies created their smart locks to notify users of any suspicious activity through an app that sends alerts directly to the owner’s mobile phone.

“Another advantage with the OVO Smart Lock is that it can be configured to work with other smart devices like Amazon Echo, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit. This means that smart locks can perform multiple tasks, such as turning on the lights when a door is unlocked or setting the thermostat based on the owner’s entry or exit.” He concluded.
