Stakeholders in the business sector have charged young entrepreneurs on adequate collaborations to sustain their businesses for generations to come.
This was part of the resolutions the stakeholders made at ‘The Convergence Africa’ 2025 conference in Abuja on Thursday.
Speaking at the conference, Mary Kolawale, the representative of the Director-General, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Charles Odii said ‘The Convergence Africa’ (TCA), which is a brain child of the CEOS’ Portal Limited, is a kind of platform that SMEDAN would work with in order to assist the young entrepreneurs in achieving their goals.
She said SMEDAN is open to partnership and will invite the CEOS’ Portal Limited for partnership as the agency is driven by targeted empowerment programs and strategic collaborations.
Also speaking at the event, the chief executive of the CEOS’ Portal Limited, the owner of the Convergence Africa project, Patience Oluwatoyin Olusuyi said about 1,000 entrepreneurs participated in the event.
She said entrepreneurs were lectured on succession plans for their businesses right from the starting point and how to ensure that their businesses survive into generations to come.
She further said the TCA project, which is about breaking barriers, dismantling outdated business mindsets, and creating sustainable enterprises that thrive beyond individuals’ efforts, was conceived two years ago and the target is to ensure that all entrepreneurs, who participated in the event, groom their businesses beyond ten years and above.
The keynote speaker at the event, Niyi Adesanya, a leadership strategist, business coach and performance consultant charged entrepreneurs to always seek mentors and collaborations in order to succeed.
The Convergence Africa is a movement designed to empower entrepreneurs to dominate their industries by harnessing the power of partnerships, strategic collaboration and networking.
