Sokoto Governor Gets PhD At Nasarawa Varsity

Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has successfully completed his PhD in Business Administration at the Nasarawa State University.

This came to the fore at the 7th convocation ceremony of the university in Keffi, Nasarawa State, at the weekend.

The governor alongside 137 other graduands were awarded certificates at the convocation ceremony which attracted dignitaries from all walks of life.

Responding to questions from newsmen Aliyu described the journey to his doctorate degree as very rigorous, tough and energy consuming.

“To acquire a PhD one has to tighten his belt and work extra hard. It took me about five years to complete this program. In fact, I have been on it since I was the deputy governor.

“But I thank Almighty Allah for seeing me through this program and I thank everyone who in one way or the other contributed to the success of this project,” he stated,
