Sokoto Professionals To Hold Inauguration, Fund-raising June 10

A non-governmental organisation, Sokoto Professionals Network (SPN) has set June 10, 2023, as the D-Day for its formal inauguration, swearing-in of executive committee members and registered professionals in Sokoto State.

This was contained in a letter of invitation sent out to the public by the group, a copy of which was made available to journalists in Sokoto.

According to a statement released to journalists by SPN director, media and publicity, he quoted the chairman of the Incorporated Trustees of Sokoto Professionals Network, Engr Zayyanu Tambari Yabo, as saying that the formal inauguration of the organisation and its members will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Sokoto.

Yabo explained that in the two years’ membership drive of the organisation, huge successes have been recorded with hundreds of professionals of Sokoto State origin both home and abroad being registered.

He added that the aim of establishing the Network was to partner and collaborate with stakeholders for the development of the state, promote and enhance sustainable professionalism through advocacy and reorientation programmes.

Yabo said the Network also aimed to build capacity and human resource development as well as initiate projects and programmes that would develop skills and scholarship activities amongst Sokoto youths irrespective of their status or gender for state and nation-building.
