Soludo Appoints New Heads For Anambra’s Health Agencies

Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has approved the appointment of new heads for key health institutions in the state.

The appointments include Dr Ezeaka Uwaeme as Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Dr Obianuju Okoye as Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, and Dr Hillary Okeke as Executive Director of the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the governor’s chief press secretary, Christian Aburime.

According to the statement, the appointees were selected based on their professional experience and are expected to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state.

“The governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has approved the appointments of the following persons as heads of Anambra health institutions,” the statement read.

It described Uwaeme as a medical practitioner with over two decades of experience in medicine and surgery, spanning both clinical and administrative roles.

Okoye was also noted to have over 20 years of experience, with a strong background in public health and healthcare administration.

Okeke, the statement added, is a medical expert with research interests in epidemiology and global health, and experience across clinical practice and academia.
