South-South Youth Leaders have applauded the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, over plans to inaugurate the Agba-Ndele Bridge project alongside the adjoining 14-kilometre Ndele-Omofo-Agba-Ndele Road in May this year.
The youth leaders, in a statement issued by their Coordinator, Mirabel Ashara, said the development is another testament to Governor Fubara’s commitment to infrastructural development in the state.
According to them, the road, which also connects communities in Abua/Odual Local Government Area, would boost economic activities in the area and make life easier for residents.
They urged the people of Rivers State to continue supporting the administration of Governor Fubara in order to encourage him to embark on more infrastructural projects across the state.
“We, the South-South Youth Leaders, applaud the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, over the plans to commission the Agba-Ndele Bridge project alongside the adjoining 14-kilometre Ndele-Omofo-Agba-Ndele Road in May this year.
“The road, situated in Emohua Local Government Area, also connects communities in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State. It will open up economic activities in the affected local governments, among other benefits.
“As the governor pointed out during the inspection of the project and others, the beauty of this job will be better appreciated when the remaining 14 kilometres of the Ndele-Omofo-Agba-Ndele Road is completed.
“We therefore call on the people of Rivers State to continue to support the administration of His Excellency, Siminalayi Fubara, the Executive Governor of Rivers State. Doing so will inspire him to do more for the state and bequeath lasting legacies that will stand the test of time,” the statement added.
