Speaker Abbas noted that the Prophet (SAW) exemplified holiness, forthrightness, discipline, and service to Allah (SWT) and humanity, stressing that his teachings were meant to guide mankind towards peace, love, and charity to one another.

Abbas said despite the socioeconomic challenges faced by Nigeria, the country has the potential to prosper if the leaders and the followers abide by the God-given principles as outlined by the Prophet (SAW).

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, Abbas further charged Muslims to continue to pray for their country, and called for support to the administration of President Bola Tinubu and other leaders at different levels.

He emphasised that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) preached respect and prayer for constituted authorities.

Kalu stated this in a statement by his Special Assistant on Press Affairs, Udora Orizu, felicitating with Nigerians especially the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlud which marks the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad.

The deputy speaker congratulated Muslims across the country and urged them to emulate the Prophet’s virtues of peace, love, humility, tolerance, and compassion.

He further urged them to practice the noble and shining virtues of the Prophet Muhammad, noting that the best way to celebrate him was to follow his good examples.

Wishing Muslims happy Mawlud al-Nabī celebrations, Kalu charged Muslims to continue praying for the country and support the administration of President Tinubu.

Also, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) rejoiced with Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid.

APC, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, called on Nigerians to rededicate themselves to the Prophet’s virtues and continue to pray for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in our dear country.

“The life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad offer enduring guidance and timeless lessons of peace, unity, justice, compassion, tolerance, and moral leadership – values that remain profoundly significant for our nation today.

“The Prophet’s message of peace and reconciliation, justice and fairness, and compassion for the poor and vulnerable beckons on us to work for unity of our country, uphold accountability at all levels, show kindness to the less privileged, and foster peaceful coexistence in our pluralist society.

“These noble values are fully aligned with the core vision of the Renewed Hope Agenda under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu which remains committed to rebuilding public trust, strengthening democratic institutions, expanding economic opportunities, and uplifting the material conditions of life of all Nigerians,” he said.
