The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) received an independent Mid-Year report on activities in Nigerian football from the Sport Integrity Foundation, yesterday.
FF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, commended the Foundation for its contributions as partners in progress, aiding the advancement of Nigerian football, which aligns with the objectives of the Ibrahim Gusau-led administration to inspire all stakeholders to contribute to the growth of the Nigerian game.
“We are very impressed to see such initiatives coming from your organisation. The NFF cannot monitor everything, but having organisations like yours is encouraging. You are becoming an important watchdog for the integrity of the game.
“The NFF board is deeply committed to ethics and integrity, and we are doing everything possible to ensure that anyone attempting to bring the game into disrepute will be punished. We also require the collaboration of law enforcement agencies so that when we pass resolutions, such individuals can be penalised within the confines of the law,” Dr Sanusi stated.
The delegation from the Sport Integrity Foundation included Co-ordinator Abiola Shodiya, along with members Sammy Ejegwa, Georgina Bode, and Taofeek Lawal.
