In a rallying call for global environmental preservation, stakeholders have called for a strong collaboration to address the challenges posed by climate change.

The call was made at a press conference in Abuja ahead of the inaugural Climate Action Africa Forum slated for June 17-19, in Lagos, Nigeria.

The forum’s main goal is to discuss how Africa needs sustainable development plans and climate-smart investments.

Under the banner of “Green economies, brighter futures, innovating and investing in Africa’s climate-smart development,” the forum aims to chart sustainable development paths for Africa while fostering climate-smart investments. Attendees anticipate vibrant discussions, strategic collaborations, and impactful engagements to tackle the continent’s environmental hurdles head-on.

The executive director and co-founder of Climate Action Africa, Grace Oluchi Mbah announced the commencement of registration for the June event, urging tech-driven solutions and innovations providers across various sectors to participate actively.

Mbah stated, “We are at a critical juncture where decisive action is imperative to mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change.

“CAAF24 offers a crucial platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful discourse and forge collaborative pathways toward a greener, more sustainable future.”

Throughout the press conference, speakers underscored the urgency of collective efforts to address climate change challenges.
