A chieftain of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro has charged Nigerians to refrain from actions capable of heightening tension or overheating the polity.

His admonition came against the background of the controversy trailing the alleged certificate saga of President Bola Tinubu.

Isiguzoro, in a statement he signed yesterday, maintained that the Supreme Court is the highest judicial body in the country and “we must trust in its ability to deliver a fair and just verdict.”

He warned that Nigerians must not allow the issue to distract the country from the pressing matters that confronts the nation.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo, are not taking sides in this matter. Our primary concern is for the stability and unity of our nation. We believe in the rule of law and the due process of justice. We call on all Nigerians to do the same.

“I urge all parties involved, including those who may be operating behind the scenes, to respect the ongoing legal process. Let us allow the Supreme Court to do its job without interference or undue pressure.”

He said in the coming weeks and months, “we must focus on the issues that truly matter to our nation’s progress. Let us not be distracted by political intrigues or personal ambitions. Let us remember that we are all Nigerians, and our common goal should be the betterment of our nation.”
