Strike: Federal Govt, Organised Labour Meet In State House

In a bid to avert the nationwide indefinite strike slated for Tuesday, October 3, the federal government and the organised Labour have just commenced another negotiation meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Sunday afternoon.

Attending the ongoing meeting on the side of the organised Labour were the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) President, Joe Ajaero; Secretary of the Trade Union Congress(TUC), Nuhu Toro, and his counterpart from NLC, Emma Ugbaja.

 

The government team is being led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Other members of the government team include; the Head of Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan; the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu; the Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong; the Minister of State for Labour, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha; the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun; the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, and the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Beta Edu.
