The chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), FCT chapter, Comrade ThankGod Chimenem, has commended the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, for what he described as “unprecedented infrastructural transformation and visionary leadership” in the nation’s capital.
In a statement yesterday, Chimenem, praised minister’s developmental strides, saying the FCT has experienced tremendous infrastructural development and transformation under his leadership.
According to him, Wike clearly surpasses those of many who have served before him without leaving tangible results.
The NANS FCT Chair said the progress made within just over two years of Wike’s administration stands as a testament to his dedication, strategic leadership, and unwavering commitment to building a modern capital city.
“It is only natural that agents of distraction and anti-development elements will always find fault with a man whose focus is on building a better future for the FCT.”
He further expressed appreciation to the minister, describing him as “Mr Project of the FCT,” whose record of achievements continues to cheer more than jeer.
“To some of us, you are our role model, our mentor, and father. Indeed, many people do not value what they have until they lose it.”
Offering words of encouragement to the minister, Comrade Chimenem urged Wike to remain focused on his vision and not be swayed by critics or political distractions.
He noted that Wike’s leadership had significantly elevated the aesthetics and functionality of the FCT, bringing renewed pride to its residents and restoring public confidence in governance at the local level.
