National Assembly has launched eight new coaster buses provided by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Magaji Tambawal, to ease the transportation of parliamentary staff.

The buses which are first in history to be provided by any CNA, are part of palliative measures to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal on the staff.

This was as the CNA also ensured the implementation of the new N35,000 wage award for staff of the National Assembly as part of measures to ameliorate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal.

At the handing over of the vehicles to the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), the deputy senate president, Barau Jibrin, said the gesture was a demonstration of the commitment of the 10th National Assembly under the chairmanship of Senate President Godswill Akpabio in addressing the wellbeing of the staff members.
