The National Association of Nigeria student in Diaspora president, Prince John Ogar has commanded the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Chairman/CEO Air Peace, Chief Allen Onyema as they offers to evacuate stranded Nigerians in Sudan.
Many Nigerians students are stranded in the North African country following a power tussle that has resulted in a crisis. The development has led to calls for the evacuation of the nation’s citizens.
Recently,Nigeria’s largest domestic airline, Air Peace, has expressed its willingness to evacuate Nigerians stranded in Sudan, free of charge.
Ogar,in appreciation statement shared with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday said ,”As Air peace commences the officially evacuation of Nigerian Students from the war prune Sudan amidst extreme risk of lives and properties, we pray for safety and successful evacuation operation”.
The statement partly read : “I write on behalf of the Executive members of the NANS Diaspora under my watch to convey our unequivocal thanks and appreciation to Federal government, ministry of foreign affairs and Air Peace management.
“While we anticipate their safe arrival back home, i enjoin all Nigerians to pray for everyone involved in this life saving mission as my advocacy have started yielding result.”
He also reiterated his commitment in protecting the interest, defending the rights and promoting the welfare of Nigerian Students in Diaspora notwithstanding the distraction from an imposter parading himself as the NANS Diaspora president who was on channels news yesterday to claim glory for what he didn’t work for.
