Sunshine Queens, Castmog Ladies, Two Others Gain Promotion To NWFL

Four teams have secured promotion to the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, for the 2025-26 season.

The teams are Imo Striker Queens, Sunshine Queens, Castmog Ladies, and Ahudiyannem Queens.

Imo Striker Queens and Sunshine Queens topped their groups with nine points each from three matches at the 2025 Championship.

Castmog Ladies and Ahudiyannem Queens led their groups with six and seven points, respectively.

Imo Striker Queens, Castmog Ladies, and Ahudiyannem Queens will make their NWFL debut next season, while Sunshine Queens return after being relegated during the 2023-24 season.
