Nigeria’s Super Eagles will know their 2025 AFCON qualifying group foes on July 4, 2024.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced yesterday that the journey to the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 will resume with the draw for the Qualifiers on Thursday, July 4, 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

A total of 48 countries, including the four winners from the preliminary round (Chad, Eswatini, Liberia and South Sudan) will be drawn into 12 Groups of four teams each to battle it out for places at the finals.
The qualifiers are set to begin in September 2024, with the top 24 teams progressing to the prestigious tournament in Morocco.

The draw promises exciting matchups with confirmed participants including defending champions Cote d’Ivoire, 2023 runners up Nigeria, Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa and others.

The 2025 AFCON Finals will be the 35th edition of Africa’s flagship football championship, and will be staged by Morocco.
