A non-governmental organisation, Asiwaju For All, has called on Nigerians, both Christian and Islamic faithful to continue to support President Bola Tinubu’s government to achieve its development programmes and provide dividends of democracy.

According to the group, the Tinubu administration is committed to providing dividends of democracy in all sectors, adding that what is needed from Nigerians is support and prayers for success.

The national coordinator, Asiwaju For All, Hon Aminu Sani Jaji, made the appeal while flagging-off the distribution of 22,200 bags of 50 kilogram rice to the various states of the country in Abuja at the weekend.

Represented by Hon Mansur Khalifa, the national coordinator said the ceremony which took place simultaneously in the six geopolitical zones of the country was a form of palliative to support the less privileged particularly those of the Christian faith to celebrate Christmas.

Jaji explained that each state of the federation is entitled to 600 bags of 50kg rice and anywhere the commodity is packaged in 25kg, 1200 would be distributed to such state.

He said this was part of the dividends of democracy which the citizens would enjoy as the administration of President Tinubu progresses, assuring that an effective mechanism has been put in place to ensure the rice gets to the target population.

“This organisation called ‘Asiwaju for All’ was created by well meaning Nigerians to provide support for the laudable programmes of the current administration of our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Asiwaju. This nongovernmental organisation is aimed to give its support in many areas to the teeming populace of Nigeria, being Christians or Muslims.

“This organisation has been working tirelessly right during campaigns with our Christian brothers and our Muslims brothers so as we sensitise, educate our people to know the importance of voting this government into power and by the grace of God we have and we are now trying to tell our people that this government belongs to them. This government wants to appreciate their contributions so that’s why the organisation is determined to bring this palliative to their doorsteps.

“As I am telling you this palliative is not only during Christmas festivity. It is equally being observed during Sallah festivities. So, this organisation encompasses and comprised all the Muslims and Christians to come and work together and to ensure they benefit from the dividends of democracy.
