The South West East North of Nigeria (SOWENON) Initiative has appealed to Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration and efforts towards repositioning Nigeria as a strong and competitive global economic nation.
Chairman of the group, Sam Jenfa in a statement said that instead of playing party politics and tarnishing the image of the President, especially the certificate saga, Nigerians should rather support and work to bring the country back from the brink to a progressive economy.
According to the group, it’s not a time to display ethnocratic victimism but to work together with the government at the federal and state levels in driving the course of the national economy to that of a progressive level which is achievable under the current administration.
In the statement titled, “National Interest, not Personal Interest” Jenfa also said Nigeria has gone beyond the outcry of the presidential election mandate, adding that it is high time Nigerians resent all the distraction of political propagandists.
He also urged the federal government to fix the country’s refineries in order to address the energy crisis.
On the issue of food security, he called on the President to promote equitable support to farmers in a way that will increase Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and also stressed the need for transparency in the distribution of the incentives to farmers.
